THE RAVEN´S SHADOW (2020)

Segunda entrega para este proyecto alemán de blackened death metal que poco  poco va afianzando su sonido gracias a una mayor contundencia y mejor producción. El álbum es bastante constante en lineas generales, ofreciendo mayores influencias del black en el apartado musical que del death. Las guitarras se suceden en constantes riffs, con una velocidad alta pero que no dudan en mantener un tono entre lo melódico y lo atmosférico en segundo plano. Tal vez estos aspectos mencionados sean lo diferenciador del sonido de este álbum, un sonido poderoso que se acerca más a terrenos de bandas como Amon Amarth salvando las distancias, no en cuanto a sonido viking, sino más bien la atmósfera, que bebe más de influencias nórdicas que del death melódico. Las voces suenan agresivas, directas y añaden la mayoría de las influencias death al sonido del álbum, sabiendo sonar graves, y lodosas cunado es necesario pero también profundas y directas. La batería se sumerge en ofrecer una dosis de potencia y velocidad, muy bien ensamblada con guitarra y bajo, ofreciendo algunos pasajes más lentos con un gran componente de grrove. Desde luego que Bloodred no inventan nada nuevo, pero si que es cierto que la inclusión de elementos un tanto ajenos al estilo blackened death metal enriquecen la propuesta. (8,1).
