JUDGEMENT (2020)
Segunda entrega para los neoyorquinos que nos presentan siete nuevos temas en un trabajo de un sonido muy personal y definido. Este "Judgement" se abre con un tema homónimo que con un trasfondo atmosférico de sonido de campanas crea el ambiente prefecto de oscuridad y frialdad que ya no nos abandonará en todo este trabajo. Ominous Resurrection ha plasmado un sonido que tiene diferentes vertientes, por un lado tenemos un sonido crudo, con un producción sucia y densa que tiene como cometido crear una densa masa de caos y destrucción. Lo temas son profundos y contundentes con un marcado gusto por unos riffs brutales que recuerdan a sonido doom pero que también guardan un fuerte componente continuista, funcionando como un mantra de pastosa suciedad. Las voces se sumergen en lo profundo de la propuesta, en medio de la densidad del sonido, sonando agresivas y también contundentes, rodeando todo este álbum de un halo de ocultismo bien ponderado. La velocidad de "Judgement" es endiablada, todo suena bien engarzado, veloz y despiadado, ofreciendo también algunas influencias de elementos noise en el sonido y aunque no es un álbum que brille por su cuota de melodía, en algunas partes es cierto que unas influencias de corte oriental se cuelan en la propuesta. Un trabajo, que en definitiva parte de los principios básicos de género pero que pronto se muestra como una entidad moldeada al gusto de la banda. (7,6).
