THYMIAMA MANNAN (2014)

  Thymiama! Mannan!
On forth the abyss
Enemy.. The Enemy is 2
White light is mercy
I am trying to let go…

As I enter the temple of shapes Image turns upside down All I did was to enter Now they move by themselves Inverted Saint ignites Cremation of the Final Nights There is no room for faith in my world I burn, burn and burn them all Nimbus inverted with legs to the sky Not sacrifice but murder As they burn, they have a voice They talk to the floor. My faith for yours! 3. Rape Magic 06:23
The ritual begins in darkness
Today the task is great. Must hold..
Not from without but from within
The first sign is here. I don’t recognize the mirror

Provoke me father for I have reached the unknown
This altar shapes the affairs of the world

Not human. The eyes in the mirror.
By will- I am air. I am thy breath.
Thousands die in the process.

The books spoke of this. What they didn’t say
Is that I can do anything. Master forgive me.

So I burn all these books. Their time has come.
No need for stories. I have risen beyond.
Let the black spell fall upon my enemies
May they die in life and in spirit

Their seed!. wiped out from the earth
As if -they were- never born
Moving on. His presence speaks!
Time to shape the fate of the world.

The Books spoke of this. What they didn’t say
Is that I can do anything. Master forgive me.

The new arrival crushes the memory of the old days
Isn’t that always the case…
The honour to be part of the living mist
I can feel it in my lungs It’s here from bellow.

Each time a part of me dies
I can feel the eyes in my head
We are merged.
I have reached you. Beyond the devil
4. Bloodsong 05:17
THE BLOOD SONG! ...and when the angel cursed me and I gazed at the burning light of the sun then my eyes blocked all the senses And they both run red with blood So I took a chalice and I drank every last drop from this cup And me and God grew far appart Since God drank urine and I drank blood "He that believeth in me as the scripture hath said"! "Out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water" Somebody got it wrong why they can't understand? Communion with the desert God needs urine and sand! I look around me now And I see I am awake I open myself to the night But I need less light! So I go underground and I test the limits of the blackest sky Even there something flickered And satisfaction was unreal… Follow the song of the blood Not ONE of you will understand! The song of the blood
5. Temple of Absinth 06:48
I search for myself and find me in absinth walls Pale illusions Pale convictions. Dance away and fly away little creature Pray I don't find you in time. I want this. Time is illusion... I am illusion... To rape your flesh and tear out your wings Run and hide. Your beauty is mine. The Cult of flesh! We are blood! Poison and wisdom are one! The Temple made from absinth tears Feeds on judgement, memories, and fears I drown my will in toxic sips All creatures of beauty must die This is a warning to all who approach me even if they mean good or ill I care not for thy purpose I just rape beauty and dreams A curse of fear to all who listen The fairy mother is mangled in thorns Beauty sets my kind astray And thus the murders begin today Life is illusion… Thirst! Dried poison on wet throat I give my life to the temple of flesh raped and hanged she begged for death But noone listened... I am the specimen of the golden age I am the future And I am coming
6. Silver Tongue Devil 07:20
 By the wings of creation!
Through the vastness of bottomless seas!
Here she comes sawing her seeds!
As she whispers her orders in dreams!

By the wish of the prophet!
And the horns of atavist fiends!
Shades of dawn and fools run!
As they pray for the fall of the sun!

Higher! Blood!
And I offered her neck to god
The end! The end!
And the heart I keep for myself!
What lightens, darkens
By the godhead that rises in man
The Blood path. Is Ageless.
But faith eludes in Faustian faces!
Higher! Blood!
And I offered her neck to god
The end! The end!
And the heart I keep for myself!

In the essence of the yellow
Broken and undone
She smiled at me
As the devil smiles in heaven

And the martyrs of the spirit
Scan the horizon
They seek the one
As He hides in darkness

I confess It seems to me
The broken angel she must be
And My fears come forth
As The devil wins back his child x2

We forever shall reign
In the kingdom of souls
Only death can rend the veil
And it shall please the eternal God of the void
Behold! The past authority gives leave. The circle rises.
The mark I sign. The eternal mark.
It is done.
7. Extremity Unbound 01:56
No peace... The New Bible will come Between insence and bullets Cutting rapidly through the age of schizophrenia I declare this, by blackest sun: Knights and fools aren't we all?

BEHOLD THE SON OF PLAGUES (2014)

UNDER THE SIGN OF THE BLACK SUN (2014)

UNDER THE SIGN OF THE BLACK SUN (2014)
SATANIC ASSAULT DIVISION - INTERVIEW

1. The band begins his wanderings in 2012 , how were the beginnings of the same How important to Satanic Warmaster had at the beginning of your band ?
Satanic Warmaster was probably the single reason we created this band. It started with founders, Martin and Thomas jamming along to certain Satanic Warmaster songs. The raw sound, and the simple compositions of both songs and individual riffs caught our interest right away. We started making our own songs, and partly serious, and partly for fun recorded them with the very bad equipment we had at our disposal. This resulted in the demo, Erasing Religion back in 2011, and the start of the band.

2. After the release in 2012 of your first demo, March to Victory comes your debut album , has something changed in the sound between the two jobs? How was the writing and recording process and the album?
The sound has changed very much, anyone who has heard the demo can confirm this. The sound is generally way more refined, with us polishing the songs way more in detail than on the demo. Added solos has also changed the general atmosphere. The writing process has also changed a lot. Usually, Thomas writes the raw composition of the song, while Martin polishes, adds various riff variations and harmonies. Furthermore, Martin has written two songs of his own: Possessed by the Arch Fiend, and Blood For Ashur.
As for the recording proces, the album was recorded rather quickly. We recorded in layers, meaning first drums, then bass, then guitars and lastly vocals and solos. Drums and bass were done in the course of a single weekend. The rythm guitars were done in 4 different layers, mostly one-takes in a single day and the vocals and solos were done in an afternoon. One of our biggest focuses was to try and not make the record too perfect. This is mostly recognizable in the solos, as they were all improvised on the spot, and recorded in first takes.

3. The sound of Satanic Assault Division has a lot of black , thrash and influence of Satanic Warmaster , as I said before, it is undeniable , what other bands and styles are recognizable in your sound?
Satanic Warmaster is probably our only direct influence, as the jamming their songs is the main reason why we started the band. However, the question if other bands is recognizable in our sound is rather difficult to answer. I guess every musician is inspired by what he listens to, so in that sense all bands the songwriters (Martin and Thomas) listen to should be recognizable. Mostly, we try to experiment with black metal, try to come up with something new however, while maintaining a natural link with our predecessors.

4. As members of other bands, how important is this new project for you with respect to the other ?
Satanic Assault Division stands as an equal compared to the other bands the members of SAD plays in. Of course, there has been various difficulties in booking concerts, if Sylvatica (Thomas' Melodic Death/folk metal band) plays the same date as a gig SAD was offered, naturally, the first booked band takes priority, sometimes economics is an issue too, if one gig pays better than the other. So far these are the only real problems that we've encountered.

5 . The titles of your songs has a strong anti-religious content , who writes the lyrics and why did you decide this issue for them ?
Nearly all lyrics have been solely written by Thomas, with Baptized in the Name of Baal being the only exception, which was written predominantly by Martin. It is true that our lyrics are extremely hostile and probably hateful towards religion, that isn't to say that they are a correct representation of our own beliefs towards the subject. The main reason why i write in this anti-religious theme is that all the extreme metal bands i grew up with, like Slayer, Mayhem, Emperor etc. all did the same. There isn't any political or religious motivation for me, even though i am an atheist, it's simply very hard for me to imagine black metal as being anything but anti-religious in its' nature.

6. Have already offered a concert as a band , how satisfied are you with these first steps as a live band ?
So far we have supported the Finnish black metal act Arch Goat in their Odense gig, our very first and biggest gig. Other than that we have been rather silent, except for various underground gigs in Denmark playing with mostly death metal bands. However, we do have various concerts lined up in the near future, but not any in Spain i'm afraid.

7. What are the five cds consider essential within the black metal and why?
Martin:
Mayhem - De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas
Emperor - Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk
Marduk - Panzer Division Marduk
Burzum - Filosofem
Mayhem - Deathcrush
The four first albums are simply because they are my personal favorite albums. Deathcrush is because you asked for the essential black metal albums, and i believe that this record is probably the single most important one. It is arguably one of the most influential in any case.

8. How did you get started in music? Why did you decide to be a musician ?
Martin: I never decided anything, i play guitar because i like it, then all these random people started inviting me to bands!

9. What can you tell us about the black metal scene in Denmark?
The black metal scene in Denmark is pretty much.. Very pagan / viking. Some of you might have heard of Angantyr, this is pretty much what most Danish Black Metal bands sound like, or at least Angantyr is the main source of their local inspiration. There is actually very few bands who play our vein of Black Metal, here i mean blast beats everywhere, almost Marduk style. Despite being a Scandinavian country, metal isn't really what we're known for, and thew few known bands we do have, are almost all Death Metal, like Panzerchrist, Illdisposed, Iniquity etc.

10. Who designed the cover of March to Victory as it relates to the content of the album?
The cover to March To Victory was designed by Michael Huhle of Blackhorned. I don't really know if it relates to the content of the album, besides it being a tad blasphemic... It looks cool! That's what matters most to me.

11. Domestic Genocide Records is responsible for the release of the album , how the opportunity arose to work with them ? Satisfied with the involvement of the seal?
To be honest, the opportunity arose when we first finished the production of the album. We simply sent out the record to all kinds of labels, and DGR was simply the company that we felt was the most viable way to go, both in terms of working relationship, trust, and of course simply because they offered us a favorable deal. So far we are satisfied! They have given us a lot since we signed with them, we have no reason to complain.

12. What next steps will the future of the band, in terms of upcoming releases , concerts, etc. . ?
We've been playing quite a few local gigs in Denmark, both in my own hometown, Sønderborg, our bands hometown, Svendborg, and in the country's capital, Copenhagen. Next thing in our plan is supporting Negura Bunget in Germany! So far, we have 2 confirmed dates, Bochum the 22th March, and Berlin the 26th March, but more will maybe be coming up. Other than that, there is of course the matter of our next album. We can't really say anything, as we won't be releasing in the foreseeable future just yet, but so far, you guys are in for a treat!

13 . Thank you very much for taking the time to Black Metal Spirit , if you want to add something for the followers of Satanic Assault Division , this is the place . I hope the questions are to your liking .
Thanks for reading! This was guitarist, Martin 'Tyfus' writing. Hope to see you all on the road.

INFANDOUS - INTERVIEW

1.Infandous has landed in the black metal scene and makes it surrounded by a halo of mystery in regards to members , how was the process of writing and recording of "Blood , the Sun , and the Cosmos" ?
I would say the whole process was both very comfortable and leisurely.  As a new band with no discography nor reputation I was able to take my time with the compositions and to write songs when the inspiration struck, rather than feeling the need to produce material for the appeasement of fans or a label.  The recording process was equally rewarding, being surrounded by friends and unconstrained by deadlines.

2 Since your intention initially was the entire album or create contemplasteis other possibilities?
we had always planned on releasing a full-length album.

3. Why did you decide the name for the band Infandous ? Have you had any type of problem with the American band of death Infandous based on your name ?
Infandous is an adjective describing something so odious that it can not be mentioned.  We found this term to be a fitting metaphor for a band residing in the shadows of anonymity.
No problems.  I think the musical styles are so different that there is no real concern of toe-stepping.

4. The influences in your sound are perfectly reflected in your songs , the black , doom , death , progressive and sludge are important part of your sound , What are your main musical influences ? How would you describe the sound of "Blood , the Sun , and the Cosmos " ?
I think it would be pretentious to call it anything other than black metal, although it does have a variety of influences drawn more from the world around us than any particular musical style or worship.  Honestly, when I write music for Infandous it usually comes from my detachment from society, as well as from most individuals around me.

5. Another aspect to consider is that of letters , Sobro all because you both fall one of the recurring themes in the genre , I mean atavism and anti-monotheism , why I find interesting these issues?
I’d say that the lyrics of Blood, the Sun, and the Cosmos are actually quite clear upon taking the time to read them.
Blood, the Sun, and the Cosmos is a unification of two alternate plains of existence.  Blood— our mortal coil, the sun— the insurmountable boundary, or object of segregation between blood and the cosmos.  And finally the cosmos— the supreme echelon of awareness and wisdom.   It essentially elaborates upon the idea that what exists within the cosmos also exists within us.
As for anti-monotheism, I see Christianity, Islam and Judaism as equally disgusting, imperialistic, and degrading and thus felt no reason to exclude one over the other.  The promotion of national polytheistic religions is certainly an underlying influence on the lyrics of Infandous.

6. Have you considered the possibility of bringing the band to live?
No we don't plan on playing live shows any time in the near future

7. I guess if you had to choose five must cds within the black will not be the classic that everyone names, am I right ?
I’m always listening to new music, it would be nearly impossible to narrow down a list of 5 albums.  Here are a few things I’m currently listening to:
Chelsea Wolfe- Pain is Beauty
Sexdrome- Grow Younger
Blut Aus Nord- Memoria Vetusta I – Fathers of the Icy Age
Envy – Insomniac Doze
Tenhi – Saivo

8. How did you get started in music: first cds you bought , first concerts Why did you decide to become a musician ?
Music has been a passion of mine since I’ve been very young.  The first cd I ever bought was Hidden Treasures by Megadeth, coincidentally one of the worst albums in the band’s discography.  It goes without saying that I skipped over the band, and a good portion of the thrash subgenre as a result.
I wouldn’t really call myself a musician.  Making music is merely one of my hobbies and certainly nothing that I’m able to make a living from.

9. Who designed the cover of "Blood , the Sun , and the Cosmos " What relationship can we find the content of the album?
The artwork on “Blood, the Sun, and the Cosmos” was designed by a good friend of ours who works as a tattoo artist.  You can expect to see his artwork on future Infandous works as well.
The artwork is about impermanence. You see the kingdoms of old buried beneath the tree extending out infinitely in all directions, a symbol of the infinite, unfathomable cosmos, contrasted with the rebirth from those ruins on the back cover.

10. How does the ability to edit the album through Those Opposed Records come about? Just have the cd or in a future edition was released in other formats?
There are no current plans for a future edition or an LP, but I’d certainly be open to the possibility.

11.  What future plans do you have for the band?
A few more cd releases and a few unorthodox ideas as well.

12.  Thank you very much for taking the time to Black Metal Spirit , if you want to add something for the followers of Infandous , this is the place . I hope the questions are to your liking .
Infandous has followers?  That’s news to me.  Anyways, thanks for your interest!

WARFIST - INTERVIEW

1.Warfist was formed in 2004 , what can you tell us the time and why you decided to create a band like Warfist ?
Warfist was founded by me and Witchfucker, who was the vocalist of the band at that time. The reason was very simple – we wanted to play some old school blackened thrash metal in the vein of the 80, with a slight touch of Australian metal scene and bands like Destroyer 666 or Gospel Of The Horns. 2004 was a very crazy time, full of alcohol and parties. So it was a very inspiring time for a band like Warfist haha!

2. In this 2014 I finally decided to ye released your first live album after 2 demos , one EP and 4 splits, and a change of formation , how was the process of writing and recording of "The Devil Lives in Grünberg "? How is the way of working on the issues, we all contribute ideas or there is a play by the leader?
The process of creating the material for “The Devil Lives in Grünberg” lasted pretty long actually. We started to work on the songs for this album in 2009, but due to a lot of problems, including changing of drummer and bassists departure to UK for over a year, we were able to finish it somewhere in late 2012/early 2013. Some older tracks are included on this album too. When it comes to writting material for Warfist, I come up with the ideas for the riffs and the shape of the track myself. Then we all meet at the rehearsal room, and arrange the songs together. I also write the lyrics. Getting back to our debut album itself, we have recorded it in about 5 days, and then did the mixes and mastering in 2. All happened at Metal Sound Studio. The atmosphere in the studio was very cool. We're not one of these bands, that record one guitar riff per month, and then overproduce it for another 3 years.

3. Can we say that a new era with this disc opens Warfist ? How important has been the incorporation of M. De Sade to the battery to the development of "The Devil Lives in Grünberg "?
A new era? It's hard to say. Time will tell I guess. For us it was just a realisation of another dream. I hope that this album will open us some doors that were closed till this time, but it's not up to us, but the maniacs out there, who will listen to it. It's also hard to say about any development brought to “The Devil...” by M.de Sade. Most of the songs were arranged by previous drummer, Pavulon. M. had to stick to the core of the drum parts, but did some slight adjustments of his own, which came our really good. He will show what he can on our next material, which will have drum parts arranged by him from the beginning to the end.

4 . The album is released just a week , am pleased by the reactions of the media to disk?
Well, so far we are very positively surprised by the reactions for this album. The reviews are mostly very good, giving us mostly 8/10 points, so we have no reasons to complain.

5 . Your sound is characterized by a strong influence of tharsh 80 , What are your main musical influences ?
I love the 80s metal! Not only thrash, but heavy, doom, black and death too. Back then there were no such thick boarders between the genres as today. It was all about metal and extreme, and not about other shit which divided the metal scene in 90s. When it comes to inspirations, the biggest ones are Bathory, Sodom and Venom.

6. The Polish black metal has always been healthy , how do you see the end scene of your country ? And the local scene of Zielona Góra ?
Yeah, it's good to hear that Polish metal scene (not only black metal) is respected abroad! There's a lot going on in Polish black metal lately. A lot of new bands arise – some of them are cool, an some shitty, but that's the way it is. From the cool ones I can recomend you Plaga, Voidhanger, Outre or Azel's Mountain. About Zielona Góra, unfortunatelly it's not so good lately. New bands prefer to play some metalcore shit, but we have one good black metal act, and it's Taran. Also I can mention the veterans from Witchmaster and Supreme Lord. They're not exactly pure black metal (Supreme Lord is pure old school death metal for that matter), but their musc shreds, and that's what matters.

7. The album title refers to your region , whose idea was it and the disc holder ? What is your relationship to your area ?
It was my idea. Metal scene in Zielona Góra and its bands, are well known in Polish metal underground, and one might say, that it's because the Devil himself lives here hahaha! There are also some historical evidence of “Devil's presence” in our town. First of all, witchburning lasted here until XVII century, which is the longest time in this part of Europe. So the devilish roots were very deep here. Second of all. Zielona Góra's patron is Bacchus, who might be an epitome of the devil for some religious people, because of his hedonism, drinking and so on. I love my town and my region. It has something mystical in it. Besides it's a very relaxing place. The town is not to big, but you have there everything you need for a good living. And of course, the Devil lives there, hahaha!

8. With that you have the taste for the classic thrash sound surely your favorite bands belonging to the 80 , five disk What you consider as essential within the black and why?
That's a hard one. I think I won't be too original. The albums I'm mentioning here are not in any particular order. I would mention “Black Metal” by Venom, which showed their more mature music than it was on “Welcome To Hell”, but still aggressive and hellish. Another one would be Mercyful Fate's “Don't Break the Oath”. Today we consider it as a heavy metal album, but its aura and climate is pure evil, so much related with black metal today. Third album would be Celtic Frost's “Morbid Tales”, which inspired for example Darkthrone. Also the debut album of Bathory, which was more extreme, furious and evil, than all of these mentioned materials put together. And the fifth one would be Sodom's “In the Sign of Evil”, because of it's darkness, dirt and primitiveness.

9. Have you already submitted your new album live , what kind of tools you use to record and what concert ?
We did one show after releasing the album at the moment, but we have been playing these songs for a long time now. Maniacs' reactions for them were mostly positive. I hope that “he Devil...” will bring some more gig offers, also from abroad. If anyone would be interested in having us play live in their city, feel free to contact us.

10. How did you get started in music, first cds you bought , the first concert you attend , etc. .. Why you decided to be a musician ? How the scene has changed over the years?
I have an older sister, and she's the one who got me into metal. I was six years old, when she introduced me to music of such bands as King Diamond, Slayer, Kreator or Sodom. Of course I was very young then and didn't understood much of it, but I liked it already hahaha! I think that the first CD I bought was Deicide's “Legion”, but I'm not certain. About the gig, it was a show of some local rock/metal bands of which none exists today. Why did I decided to become a musician? For chicks, hahaha! I am not such a veteran to do comparisons like this. All I can say, that when I started, and it was year 2000 – 2001, it was all more about fun and having good time. And now the young bands want to be famous on Facebook and shit like that. They should concentrate moe on playing good songs, and not photo sessions.

11. Who designed the album ported ? Referred to and have to do with its content ?
All the graphics on the album were made by Igor Myszkiewicz. He's an artist from Zielona Góra, and has an unbelivable imagination! If anyone would like to see more of his works, here's the link to his website: http://galar.digart.pl/

12. How does the possibility of release the album through Wydawnictwo Muzyczne emerged Psycho ? Satisfied with the work they have done ? Will you continue in the future be linked to the seal ?
I have known Robert for 3 years now. He always liked the music of Warfist, but when I first asked him to release our debut, he didn't have the funds to do it, so we began to search for someone else. We found Pagan Records, but after we recorded the material, we've lost contact with them, which was very strange and shitty at the same time. Soe we came back to Robert, who this time was able to release us. We're more than satisfied with his work! The promotional stuff he's doing for us is awesome, the album's release is awesome! I think it's possible that we could co-operate in the future.

13 . What future plans do you have for immediate Warfist ?
For now we want to book as many gigs as possible, to promote our debut album live. Meanwhile maybe we'll start working on some new songs. No precise plans for now.

14 . Thank you very much for taking the time to Black Metal Spirit , if you want to add something for the followers of Warfist , this is the place . I hope the questions are to your liking .
Thanks for the interview and support! No more things need to be added here I think. Stay fuckin' metal! Cheers!!!

ANTARCTICA (2013)
HAMMER OF NIGHT (2013)

1. Light Has Fallen 06:17
in the length of daylight's strip
territories long and grey
downward through the valley
lie the shards of lighted gloom

light has fallen

but it cannot grip the pastures
and its shores grow blue

the sun is leaving me here
the foam of dark waves on the soil
run toward the pink sky

for there are deep pools here
where founts of cold reside

light has fallen

waist-deep in the pasture
and against my burning legs
brushes the first smooth black fish
2. In This Stillness 06:55
 holes in the cloth
seeds and grain fall from my sides
in the gloom my eyes
are black stones
but how they yawn for light

when silence grips its knuckles white
i hear gasping all around

nobody finds his treasure safe
in this stillness
the wider field
where a carcass glows
the wider field
is darker than the sky

on the wide crystal chandelier
with its jewels hanging upwards
toward the air

each one a world i do not spoil
a crushing beast with pity's stare
will charge at me until i am found
3. Many Long Fingers Bent in Pain 06:16
my moving form makes ugly knots in the wind many long fingers bent in pain the meadow, slick and sewn with frost, ruined as my footsteps crush webs into the marble i curse myself and the warm steam curls the moon's gaze is broken as i pass and my shadow starves the moss of light a sharp branch scrapes my cheek pierced and stunned i frailly ask was debt repaid? slowly i am spurned the branch had snapped in the clearing light is low and lower near the sulking brush i lay down my things i would bleed into the earth if it would not break the silence i would enter the ground if it would not make it warm
4. Ice Knell 04:20
you realize your hands are white your life was spent in an effort to keep ice from your face you are sinking with the moon it will go and you will stay enough lay down no branches bleed enough you realize your hands are white bells in the woods who is ringing them now? seasons will find you enough lay down no branches bleed enough
5. Hammer of Night 05:09
as the hammer of night fell i went down the hill where the forest cleared to see it touch the snow like a barrel i strained to see the shape it moaned but would not be seen when the light was gone i went to where it had struck a pit of ice had sunken footholds smoothed from the walls a hole aimed up like a black pupil too deep to see with blue rippled walls the air slid down where the hammer of night fell i lit a fire and felt the dusting snow beside me the flakes slid in i fell asleep by the pit of ice soon i was climbing steps in a garden with the smell of wet mud toward a bull with no eyes
6. Cabin Filled with Smoke and Flies 06:46
on a day when the grey sky hangs
like the space between two boats
the cabin fills with smoke
my fire breathes and spits

as pines with lifted nets
stand cemetery solid in the snow

i never knew a word for this
the terror of the day

the cabin creaks and moans
the heart is in the air

from unseen holes, the flies
