FIGMENT PARADISE (2015)
Poco se puede decir ya de los bulgaros "the Revenge Project", solo que aquel que todavía no los conozca que se ponga a ello desde ya. Con una carrera más que extensa, en cada nuevo lanzamiento, y ya van cuatro, vuelven a ofrecer otro gran trabajo de death metal con diferentes influencias, pero sobre todo demuestran ser una banda bien engrasada, que en cada nuevo paso logran ofrecer un álbum mejor que al anterior. "Figment Paradise" despacha en poco más de cuarenta minutos un álbum de death metal, que por extraño que parezca, no se ha refugiado en la brutalidad ni en la violencia de sonido para hacerse un hueco en la escena, no, lo de "the Revenge Project" va por otros cauces, conscientes que no tienen que demostrar nada a nadie, solo a si mismo, han logrado crear un álbum que suena a death clásico en donde el oyente puede apreciar todos y cada uno de los instrumentos. Inmensos, agresivos y violentos riffs, forman el sello de identidad el álbum, riffs que a veces suenan más death, pero que otras recorren caminos próximos al thrash o al doom, a la par que las agresivas voces van elevando el tono de las composiciones que no estarían del todo completas sin el buen hacer a la batería de Kalhas, que sin sonar contundente ni subido de tono, si acaba por hacerse notar y el oyente puede disfrutar de algunos momentos destables. "Figment Paradise" no es un álbum de death al uso, sobre todo para la claridad del sonido y la calidad del mismo, tampoco es un álbum corriente porque una vez más "the Revenge Project" ha hecho lo que le ha dado la gana, sin seguir patrones ni moda, y ha sabido integrar diferentes influencias de una manera bastante brillante.
