BU-TIK (2013)

Bolts of lightning strike the ground
Demons of the mind excise
Gunfire sounds the first attack
Brothers in arms to the end
Putrid bodies on their backs
Sacred symbols will defend

Who now stands before me like a ghost within a dream? (Within a dream)
When did come the day when things became not what they seem? (Not what they seem)
Outside of this palace where my loyalties to lie (Where do they lie?)
For the gods or demons with but one I choose to die

Bridges crashing to the ground
Heads high watch them as they fall
Tremble at the thunderous sound
Hear the siren's final call
Cannons ripping us to shreds
Brothers, where have you all gone?
Demons collecting the dead
Spirit's final breath is drawn

Who now stands before me like a ghost within a dream? (Within a dream)
When did come the day when things became not what they seem? (Not what they seem)
Outside of this palace where my loyalties to lie (Where do they lie?)
For the gods or demons with but one I choose to die (I choose to die)

Ghosts that I see, haunting my dreams
Surrounding me, what to believe?
Sunset decries, nightfall's demise

Mirror's reflection is blinding I cannot see

CULT OF ERINYES - ENTREVISTA

"Drawing its energy from the darkest thoughts of its creators, this new extreme and punitive outfit intends to evolve in the realms of Black Metal while pushing its limits a bit further. Spawned with the intention to distil arstistic audacity into respected traditions, Cult of Erinyes belongs to the forbidden experience, where music is merely a symptom of a higher truth. Ritualistic hymns, vicious and twisted vocals, furious rhythmics and ambient digressions are only a few weapons which will make of Cult of Erinyes a band to be reckoned with.

Formed late 2009, the Cult wasted no time, recording its first EP "Golgotha" less than a year later. The EP was released early 2011 on deluxe digipack through Kunsthauch & Dunkelkunst, as well as on a limited edition tape through Caverna Abismal Records. Insatiable, the band re-entered the Blackout Multimedia studio late 2010 to record its first full-length album with Phorgath (Enthroned, Emptiness). "A Place to Call My Unknown" was released on Les Acteurs de l'Ombre Production around mid-2011 and is almost unanimously revered by media and audiences. But yet again, the Cult is hungry for more and is already contemplating new horizons...

Though not willing to expose itself too much to live experiences in order to keep them as intense as honest, Cult of Erinyes has already shared the stage with respectable outfits such as Aura Noir, Lifelover and IXXI,Natan and Monads. To be followed, of course..."

QUOTE OF FACEBOOK

1. How were the early Cult of Erinyes? Why did you decide to start a band? What do you offer Cult of Erinyes regarding Psalm?
Psalm was just a band that rehearsed, recorded and played live for fun. Cult of Erinyes is not a "band"; it’s an entity. Music is nothing more than a symptom of a higher truth now.

2. How did contact with Zifir for Split? How was the songwriting process for the split?
Zifir released its sophomore album "Protest Against Humanity" via Kunsthauch/Dunklekunst Records, in Russia. This organization released our mcd Golgotha at the exact same time so I received Zifir’s album and I loved it! This album is a true classic black metal album and it became clear that we had to do something with Zifir. Both Cult of Erinyes and Zifir recorded exclusive songs for this split. You won’t find any previous live versions and/or demo versions of these songs. To Cult of Erinyes, the goal was crystal clear: we had to propose something traditional and twisted. That's the reason why we didn't want to offer some doom or progressive elements in this split.

3. Are the songs containing the split, are a logical evolution in the sound of the band? Do you think that maybe you can open a new audience leaving a little behind the airtight sound the Belgian scene?
This split is NOT an evolution; it's quite the opposite. As I previously said, we wanted something traditional. Even the sound is quite old school. Concerning the audience, I have to be honest: I don't care about the audience. I play music for myself. If some people enjoy it, that's good. But that's not really important. When you care about other people’s opinion, you have already failed.I’d rather be highly respected in the underground than being "appreciated" by thousands of people who do not really care.

4. The first item on the Split, "Teutoburger Wald" has a sound overwhelming and I consider it a benchmark in sound the group achieved in this split, how has been the composition of the process in terms of structures and arrangements?
The sound of this song (and the two other tracks) is not perfect. The details are not obvious. On the other hand, the atmosphere is special and perfect for three radical songs. Concerning the arrangements, I always follow my guts. The final of Hermitry is the only part of our tracks that required more reflection; you'll find a bass with flanger/wha reverb, some keys, a lead guitar and a fade out. For the rest, I considered this split as something less cerebral than our previous album, "A Place to Call My Unknown".

5. What are your main influences when composing?
Emperor, Mayhem and Dissection are probably the three obvious influences but I also appreciate bands like Blut Aus Nord, Deathspell Omega, Craft and almost all Roman Saenko's projects.

6. What equipment do you use music in the studio? Is it the same as live?
I don't always play on the same equipment. Golgotha was recorded with a toneport line 6;“A Place to Call My Unknown” with a 5150 and a Marshall Head. For the split album, I used a Mesa Boogie head and an old Marshall preamp. And the new album (which will be released within the end of the year) was recorded with a Diezel VH4 head. I like to try something different for each album. That's important because I don’t want to sound the same way, again and again. I bought an Engl Fireball head for the live sessions, and I just bought the Graal of every guitar player: the Fractal FX 2. This equipment can recreate almost every guitar sound perfectly, which opens billions of possibilities. I'm very excited to start recording at home with the Fractal. I’ve got plenty of new ideas and with this equipment, every single one of them can be perfectly forged. It enables me to create way more music; so many that I’ll probably have to start a side project.

7. What reasons led you to want to dedicate to music and specifically to create a black metal band? Are those reasons you consider that still apply today?
Black Metal is way more than music. That's a symptom of something timeless, powerful, pure and instinctive.

8. Enthroned bassist served as producer of his previous work, what relationship do you have with Enthroned and other bands from the Belgian? What do you think about the scene black to nowadays?
Phorgath is a good friend of the band. He is the perfect guy for us because he is very open-minded. We are free to record the music when we want, the way we want. He also has excellent ideas to forge a very unique sound. That's why we never get the same sound twice. Listen to our 3 (and soon 4) productions; it's different every time.

9. What is the first disc of metal that is part of your collection? What are the five cds under your most important perspective in black metal? From the landmark album recording that you wish you had been part?
My first metal discs were Savatage’s “Power of the Night” and Testament’s “Souls of Black”. That's funny to say because these two bands are still very special to me, even if they are not "extreme". I also listened to Guns N' Roses, but Metallica and Maiden were not my cup of tea.
So, my black metal top 5 would be:
1- Emperor :“Anthems to the Welkins at Dusk”
2- Mayhem :“De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas”
3-Dissection :“Storm of a Light's Bane”
4-Blut Aus Nort :“The Work Which Transformed God”
5-AnaalNathrakh : “The Codex Necro”

10. How did you come to an agreement for the cover? What relationship can be found between the cover and the content of your lyrics? What influences you when writing the lyrics?
Choosing a cover is always difficult, especially for a split because both bands have to agree on it. I wanted a symbol of an alliance that will keep the two bands linked forever, so the skeleton of siamese twins is perfect. Concerning the lyrics, I can't answer to the question because I always let Mastema write it. I only give him some direction, but nothing more.

11. This split is edited by Tanquam Aegri Somnia, Belgian label has only released this Split, Could shed some light on that label? Will you continue in the future linked to Les Acteurs de l'Ombre Productions?
TanquamAegriSomnia is me, myself and I. I created this label to be able to release everything I want, when I want. Concerning Les Acteurs de L'ombre, the deal is over; we signed a three albums deal with Code 666. Les Acteurs de L'ombre did a fantastic job for our first album and it was a very difficult decision to leave them. Gerald (the spirit behind les Acteurs de L'ombre) is a great and highly motivated guyand I will always be proud of our collaboration. He did a great promotion. Time will tell if signing with Code 666 was the good choice but I'm very confident in this collaboration.

12. It is clear that today very few groups experience their music, but what do you expect in the future to Cult of Erinyes? What are your plans regarding future releases, concerts, etc. ..?
Recording is, and will always be, our number one priority. This is the band’s best way to express its essence. This is also my way of being in total control whereas live shows are always a bit more unpredictable. I record music every week ; I experiment, create and destroy. We have a 3-CD contract with Code 666, so you can expect at least three CDs from us in the years to come. In parallel of these releases, we might release another EP, or another split. CDs are life-long commitments, recorded for eternity ; live shows are a pure release of our energies, in other words : imperfect, flawed, tainted. That being said, I do not hate to play live and I think we’ll play between five and ten times live to promote our next album. We will open for Dodheimsgard, Troll and Hetroertzen on October 25th in Brussels. We’ll play new tracks there.

13. How does the theme of the concerts? Which do you think has been the best and worst band concert?
The first concert was obviously the worst. We shared the stage with Lifelover. Their guitar player had just died - the day before the concert actually. The air was nothing but mortuary. The show was almost canceled but Lifelover really wanted to play, to pay tribute to their late guitar player, which I totally understand. As you can easily imagine, playing there that night was almost embarrassing.
The best show we played so far was in Brussels, at the Magasin4, for Enthroned’s last album release party. We played in ideal conditions there and were even able to enjoy our projections (films and cut clips are projected on a giant screen behind us while we play).

14. Thank you very much for your time, if you want to add something for people who like Cult of Erinyes, this is the place, thanks. I hope the questions are to your liking.
Thanks to you. Thanks for your support. The times we live in usually praise what’s badly done in no time at all. I am grateful for those who cherish a music which goes against the grain and contemporean values.

PRIMEVAL MASS - ENTREVISTA

Good afternoon, how about all of Athens? Thank you very much for agreeing to answer these questions.
Hello, everything is fine on personal level, people in Athens remain frustrated due to economic changes. You are welcome and thank you too for the interview.

1. Primeval Mass was born in 2000. How and why did you decide to form a group like Primeval Mass? Still apply? Today the same reasons that prompted you to create the group for thirteen years?
Primeval Mass were formed in early 2.000 for my personal music expression. The main motivation was the desire to express complicated inner ideas through music and lyrics, as well as to create something unique through the music styles I enjoy most. The same causes apply 100% till now, of course.

2. Of the original lineup only you are part today of it. How the structure and the band have launches this instability? Primeval Mass now you form what you and Alex Zachos to the battery, how is decided to include Alex Zachos to the line-up of Primeval Mass? Are you happy with this training or plan in the future to recruit new members?
Line-up changes are normal for a band that exists 13 years, priorities & daily program can change and musical disagreements between members can occur as the years pass. In most cases, member changing is vital for the healthy continuity of a band, when dysfunctions appear action must be taken otherwise the band wouldn't exist for long. We are still in touch with almost all the previous members and never have been a problem between us.
I know Alex many years now and at first I asked him in 2.011 to perform the drums for the 7” split with Ezgaroth. Things worked out, still roll fine and since then he handles the drumming for Primeval Mass. There is a possibility to recruit additional new members though this isn’t a no.1 priority right now.

3.Tell us a bit as was the writing and recording process of Blood Breathing Idols. How is your way of working in the studio? Both contribute ideas or someone has the authority? What brand of tools do you use?
I wrote all the music/lyrics and gave direction to Alex for the drum performing. Since our creation we worked this way and I find this method well operating. Apart from the drums that were recorded in MIH studios, the rest of the album, along with the mixing/mastering, was done in my studio that I set up almost 2 years now. I used my Gibson Les Paul (studio model), Fender and Marshall amps, Ibanez bass (SR 485), Shure microphones, and some other instruments. Alex used the drum-kit hosted in MIH studios.

4. How was the group's sound evolved over the years? What the listener can find differences between this work and As Solemn Maelstrom ... 2009 for example?
The core of our sound is the same, although I recognize “Blood Breathing Idols” as a huge step of evolution being our most mature work until now. The attributes that constitute our music style are now more balanced and uniform and apart from the definite technical evolution, we have given particular attention to the details. We are still satisfied with “As Solemn Maelstrom…” of course, though these songs were composed in 2.002-2.004 at a younger age, so some changes are logical. The listener apart from our apparent and always present Occult Black Metal style, will find the Heavy & Thrash Metal influences more obvious now.

5. The Greek black metal scene was influential in the global extreme metal, especially with the right scene that had nothing to envy to the Scandinavian. What can you tell us the Greek black metal scene? Does the sound of Primeval Mass have some relationship with the sound of the scene? What bands influenced you when writing for Primeval Mass?
I prefer not to categorize bands based on their origins but solely on quality. I enjoy though many bands that come from my country -both older and newer- from either Black Metal style or other genres. At first we might have some influences from Greek bands, I consider though as main influences to my music approach bands like Destruction, Hallows Eve, Voivod, Bathory, Marduk, Necromass, The Black amongst others, especially in the beginning. From the first moment though the goal was to acknowledge these influences but to create something unique .

6. Why did you call the group Primeval Mass? What important aspects to consider when writing the letters of Primeval Mass? What reference texts and would stand out from them? What feelings you want to convey to the listener with his music?
The name Primeval Mass represents Chaos, the maze from which All emanate, the essence of Life. Apart from the aesthetical reasons, most importantly this name is representative to our lyrical themes and so I chose it. I would rather not predispose the listener what to expect, but let him discover the essence by himself. There are certain lyrical themes we use that are dressed properly up with the suitable music and I am more than pleased when I realize that someone “gets is”, that the artistic communication through my music is achieved.

7.  'Five essential cds in the Black Metal?
-Bathory – Under the Sign of the Black Mark
-Emperor – Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk
-Absu – The Sun of Tiphareth
-Burzum – Hvis Lyset Tar Oss
-The Black - Priest of Satan
Of course, I can think many more than 5 Black Metal releases as “essential”, the list is enormous.

8. About nine years ago Primeval Mass does not offer a concert; certainly this has much to do not have a stable line-up. Do you have in mind to try to recruit some musician giving concerts?
Indeed, I am not interested giving a gig with more session musicians than permanent. Although, to perform both newer and older songs live is an appealing idea, so it is more than possible for this to happen, when we are going to have additional permanent members again.

9. How were your beginnings in black metal and fundamental fact pushed him to want to pursue being a musician?
Being at first into Heavy and Thrash Metal, and already listening to more “black-inclined” bands (Venom, Stormwitch, Mercyful Fate, Celtic Frost etc.) I got into Black Metal quite normally as I discovered the first Bathory records searching for more obscure extreme music. Not much later I bought my first Emperor, Marduk, Immortal and Rotting Christ records with other classics following. The “fundamental fact” was the desire itself for expression through music that I had since I was a child. Acknowledging that technical training and evolution in the composing area were essential, I postponed my musical activities until I considered the level satisfactory.

10. Who designed the album cover? What that meant? What is your relationship with Blood Breathing Idols lyrics?
Both front and back cover of the album were designed by Svartyria (http://blog.svartyria.com/), who caught the instructions of the album concept immediately and did an amazing job. The visual part of the album goes side by side with the lyrical, so the symbolisms used are the same. “Blood Breathing Idols” offering a multiple meaning substance, deals with the deification of the Self, the power of Will and the approach of Immortality. Lyrical themes derive from Life itself. Revealing a less hidden meaning layer, in order for a Higher Self to rise, one should abandon the vice “selves”, the weak attributes ego often bears. Overcoming the constant obstacles one may face, the empowered Self becomes stronger and stronger, while others fearing to act, stuck, decay in weakness and eliminate, giving Him space to reign. With conscious Will to evolve and with Eyes open, every moment that passes grants him knowledge and therefore power. Self becomes God. In the album cover, we can see the River, the Stream of Life with the dead parts (the vice “selves”), leading to the Throne where the empowered Self reigns. Using on the one hand the symbolism “Blood-breathing” as “deceasing, destroying/killing inside”, “Idols” symbolize these defective “selves”. One a different level, “Blood” stands for Life, “Breathing” for the conscious act of choosing to do (the act of Will), “Idols” for the Conscious Beings who yearn and attain knowledge and power, the Rulers. Those who in essence, Live.  Now, it is up to the listener what more he will discover inside.

11.          Blood Breathing Idols has been edited by Katoptron IX Recs, as well as the split of a couple of years ago with Ezgaroth, How did contact with the seal? Are you satisfied with the treatment received? Will a future in publishing their work through Katoptron IX Recs?
The individuals behind K-IX-R are friends and we ourselves were involved, so having full control of our releases was the perfect way to present our music in public. Yes, our next split release with Iasma will be also available through Katoptron IX, with the title “Transcendence”.

12. What does the future hold Mass Primeval imminent as concerts, upcoming releases, reissues...?
The split with Iasma will come very soon, with tracks recorded during the “Blood Breathing Idols” sessions. Also, the new album is already being composed and most possibly will be recorded the following months.

TOTENGEFLÜSTER - ENTREVISTA

In the year 2007 Totleben began writing his first songs. His musical interest were bound to his inspirational roots. He had combined the coldness and anger of black metal with elements of classical music to get an aggressive and cinematic feeling for his music. But his music should not just be instrumental, there for contacting his good friend Narbengrund. Since Narbengrund's talent for writing lyrics were just perfect for the ideas Totleben had in mind, Narbengrund was made a founding member of black metal act "Totengeflüster" (Whisper Of The Dead).

The main goal for Totleben and Narbengrund was to create a coherent and sophisticated piece of art. In this time Totleben was also creating artworks and illustrations for bands such as Necronomicon (Canada), Imperium Dekadenz (Ger), Lyfthrasyr (Ger) and Unlight (Ger). Through his close contact to the bands he met Schattendorn, an already active death metal drummer. Schattendorn told Totleben about his interest in playing in his black metal project. So Schattendorn had by this time become a prominent session and live drummer of Totengeflüster.

During the winter of 2012 they're debut album "Vom Seelensterben" will be revealed to the world for the first time!

1. Totengeflüster was founded in 2007, how do you decide to create the band? How important was the incorporation of Narbengrund give when musical guidance to the group?, And I finally incorporating Schattendorn, guessed? Totengeflüster stability needed as a band?

Narbengrund: Well, Totleben had already a couple of song ideas (for example some parts of “Monolog im Mondschein” and “Ein Traumgespinst” very already done) and decided that those would sound much better if some screams would be added… and since we were friends since a long time and already had a band a few years before, he asked me if I’d like to be his singer…
The writing process was mainly an affair of Totleben, but he had close contact to me and involved my ideas into the unborn symphonies…  Schattendorn himself had no influence on “Vom Seelensterben” since he joined during the recording session…

2. Since it was formed in 2007 Totengeflüster been five years until the publication of "Vom Seelensterben". How was the songwriting process for this job? What, five years is a long time, you had always clear that you were going to debut a full disk, or sometime consider the possibility of some other format?

Narbengrund: It truly has been a long time till we released our debut, but the songs are already some years old… I think our last sinister construct, named “Ein neuer Pfad” was written in early 2010… The years which have passed since then were used to create details within orchestral passages but it also was kind of problematic to record, because Totleben was in the middle of his exams and he was a kind of supervisor during the whole recording sessions. We may have spent a thought about releasing a demo but we wanted to create more than just music, so the whole concept, the artworks, the lyrics and so on had to be perfectly fit together to create this pitch black mosaic. The story for example, wouldn’t be complete if we just released an EP or a demo tape.

3. How is your way to work when recording new songs, all contribute with ideas, or is there a leader who imposes his own?

Narbengrund: Vom Seelensterben was nearly completely written by Totleben. I’ve contributed some ideas in order to inspire him and to add some cruel sound details into the rotten soundscape, but I did not compose anything. Nowadays Totleben still does most of the composing but his time as lone monarchist is over… He always says that he sees himself as a kind of craftsmen while I am a visionary (But maybe without the required skill of implementation…)

4. Totengeflüster plays a symphonic black at times reminiscent of Emperor, Dimmu Borgir, Cradle of Filth and the cast of bands overall style 90s. What are your main influences musically? What do you think of the career of the bands listed above?

Narbengrund: Totleben and I grew up with symphonic black metal bands like Dimmu Borgir and Cradle of Filth, maybe one could say that those bands were our starter drugs and of course those bands listed above were huge musical influences. But apart from this kind of Black Metal, we also all do love the traditional kind of this music… Black Metal is the most intense music I’ve ever heard. I smile at those who can’t understand this art. I smile at those who can’t understand the essence of true art itself. Art is not the sum of all technical skills. A picture painted in black and white can be so much prettier than another which is soaked with all kinds of colours.
Totleben our main composer also listens to a lot of cinematic music, Schattendorn loves bands like Belphegor, Behemoth, Dark Funeral or Marduk, while I prefer bands in the vein of old Shining, Forgotten Tomb or Lifelover.
Cradle of Filth and Dimmu Borgir lost their “magic” a long time ago… I can’t say that their new releases are that bad, they are excellent composed, great ideas, great music but somehow the music became kind of soulless. And if I’m not totally wrong…Emperor is dead since a couple of years, but the newer releases of them also didn’t please me as much as their first ones…

5. Who has dealt with the design of "Vom Seelensterben"? What relationship can be found between the covers disco music?

Narbengrund: Everything was designed by Mr. Totleben… We wanted to have an artwork, which perfectly fits to each of the tracks and since he’s a great artwork designer it would be simple stupid to pass the work to someone else. I think the front cover perfectly catches the topic of the album (which could be translated as “(tales) from a dying soul”). The pictures inside the booklet are adapted to the particular lyrics of the songs…

6. Once the album already published. What songs would you highlight about the others and why?

Narbengrund: it’s hard to say because we all love each one of them. My favourite one is “Blutsegen- die strömende Erkenntnis” but one reason therefor are the lyrics. Totleben likes “Ein Monolog im Mondschein” the most, I think it’s because this one is the most symphonic song. Schattendorn appreciates “Ein neuer Pfad” the most, so there is no real consensus iside the band.

7. Five basic disk in black history.

Narbengrund:
Mayhem  – De Mysteriies Dom Sathanas:
The true Black Metal cult started with Mayhem and this is their most essential album, even though it is without Dead…

Burzum – Filosofem:
Varg Vikernes may be a very controversial person with some… at least strange opinions but when it comes to music, he’s a simply genius. Filosofem is the essence of darkness and each time I listen to this album it shivers down my spine…

Dimmu Borgir – Enthrone Darkness Triumphant :
Another disk which changed Black Metal. Along with Stormblast the best Dimmu Borgir album and therefor an essential album for each symphonic Black Metal fan.

Shining – IV The Eerie Cold:
Surely I could mention now bands like Darkthrone, Immortal, Emperor or Marduk but to mention all those classics would went behind the scope so I decided to mention 2 of my personal basic discs:
All Shining albums are amazing but I think the first five are the best. The vocals are incredible, the music is highly depressive but with a very aggressive subliminal touch. I adore how the bass is played and Hellhammer’s drum skills are as always impressive. A must have.

Naglfar – Vittra:
The debut album from this band is still unreached. I love the way Naglfar combines harsh Black Metal sound with a trace of Death Metal and melodies that remind me of a more melancholic version of Iron Maiden. And on top of that Jens Ryden’s fantastic vocal performance! I just can guess why he changed his style that much…This one is highly recommended for each one of you, who loves Black Metal with beautiful melodies!

8. How did you get started in black metal? What made you consider important in your life so you want to devote yourself to be a musician?

Narbengrund: I just can speak for myself, it all started with the probably most untrue band of all: Cradle of Filth haha – but I don’t really give a fuck what purist say and by the way, the band doesn’t even call their style “Black Metal”. As time passed by my musical interest developed in much darker realms. This kind of music was the only one which could fill up the hole in my black heart…or maybe it only fed this hole…
Music is an excellent way express ones feeling, especially those, which can’t be released that easy because they’re not “normal” at all. Darkness grew inside my heart and I had to feed her… Making this kind of music is maybe the most harmless way to do this…

9. Do you have in mind in future to give concert?

Narbengrund: Yes.

10. "Vom Seelensterben" was self-released, was not there any label interested in your publication or believes that for a group like yours desktop publishing is the best choice?

Narbengrund: A few labels were interested but the conditions were not that good and since Totleben could do most of our promotional stuff and the artworks and we could record at a friend’s studio, we realized that it’s smarter to release this record by ourselves.

11. What future plans do you have with the group in terms of new releases, concerts.. etc? Are you happy with l impact it is having your first album?

Narbengrund: We’re already composing songs for a new album but we can’t say exactly when it’ll be released and since we don’t have any pressure on part of a label it doesn’t really matter how long it may take. We want to play some shows but according to our actual line-up (problem) it’ll take some time, till we can perform our art… I think spring 2014 will be the chosen season of our live darkening…

12. Thank you very much for your time, if you want to add something for people who like Totengeflüster, this is the place, thanks. I hope the questions are to your liking.

Narbengrund: Of course I’m proud of “Vom Seelensterben” and all its containing art and I would lie, if I’d say that it doesn’t pleases me, if you like it too, but I, or better we, don’t want to create some mindless light music but make a statement: Totengeflüster is more than just music; it’s a message to all of you out there willing to read the lines in between, willing to hear the unspeakable words and willing to see the forbidden truth.

Regards,
 Narbengrund

VALLENDUSK

BLACK CLOUDS GATHERING (2013)
1. Fragments of Light 09:28
Floating around a thousand of dust An ocean of time and space Drift through all of life in grave A sign round in our hands reads to earth or burst As we are spinning in the darkness of blackest night Time is shifting sands have left us behind As if exploding through an endless rift An ocean of time and space Drift through all of life in grave Through vast expanses of dark and light Over the horizon shines the lunar's many lines In all their mighty glory, above the eternal shade, As the oceanic breeze begins to fade Into the darkness skies We are alone in a vast ocean Of constellations
2. Shades of Grey 09:06
3. To Wander and Beyond 08:00
Wandering... searching for the shadow in an endless field
The sun is shining but we can't see it. Can't see the sky
Falling to the ground, with the light of the sunguiding us
To a trail thick with thorns, in a forest dark and bleak

Mysteries of night, watching from the skies,
As the light in blind scenery, and the darkness in single strides

As the twilight realms, shadowed clouds of silence,
We find a crimson sword, forged in an ancient vale
where fell a forest hail. We traveled to the hither lands
Beyond the foaming ocean, the wind blown the shadow

Over moor and mountain, forest and land, soaring over
Into the never-ending grasses, that move like a thousand hands waving
Vast expanses of nothingness, a solitary figure against the endless sky,
We came in colours of every shade
4. Into the Mist 08:49
The journey begins from the hollows
Through the forest trails
Creating way on the mossed ground,
A breeze howling through the air,
And voices carried out throughout the forest,
They forge on a head blazing their way like ancestors before.
Into the unknown and dense forest they roam

The scars remain
Feeling the swells of the ocean echo
The growing darkness.
Roaming the woods
In the labyrinth of a shattered mind
With the full of mist
They embraced the portal dream
Parallel dimensions

Lurking silently in the mist and haze
Forgotten by the world
Isolated from life
Wandering all alone
5. Among the Giants 09:28
The roots of the mountain, dwell deep in dark earth Forlorn against bright stars, wild beasts clamber Around in the darkness, feasting on fear The howling winds, marching the journey towards the mountain The soughing winds, shrouding the giant with the darkness. Weighty is the sight... The spirit flame shall alight... The sun is rising. Shall wear the mountain down. The might time fall, can break its colossal back. The nefarious witch of death mountain. Wrapped in the evening cold The sky slowly bled, welcoming the foreboding night
6. Realms of the Elder 09:45
walk down paths beneath the mountains Listen to the wind blow through outstretched forests, Carrying ade old stories told by ancient voices As they rise above, Reaching their arms to the sky Like the spines of serpents Among the ivory of darkness creature Frozen now, in blankest at our feet Doomed to eternal suffering. The ground, disturbed by the human Carrying ade old stories told by ancient voices As they rise above, Reaching their arms to the sky Like the spines of serpents wrought from the netherworld Long lost stories fly on ancient wings Forgotten forever By the eyes and tongues of humans Lost beneath the sands of time
7. Land of the Lurking Twilight 13:05
In the land of the sky when nighttime rises, The trees become shades of grey, white and black, The water is tinged with a reddish glow, The mountains and skies formations change with the wind The sun sinking beneath the waves strands of wonder, through the night Descending as the stars, for a past that never was and silence falls eternal darkening day Turned it into the night We seeing the light fade, and the darkness rising We feel the shadows creep along the horizon Darkness sorrounding us, the light darkens rippling across the sky. Shadows creep along the horizon, hurtling spears to pierce the night As night crept back into the world, we farewelled the twilight land As beneath the waters swirled, the dusk will bring fourth... a rebirth Lurking the twilight mountains, far over the deep blue ocean A dark tale and a song of nautical, To the land of ancient night
