ANCIENT LIGHTS FROM THE STARS (2013) 

Este segundo larga duración se deja influenciar por la segundo ola dentro del black metal y toma como referente a bandas de blak ambiental como puede ser el caso de Burzum, ofreciendo como resultado una disco de ambientación fría y pagana. Draurgr sabe captar la esencia del estilo y valiéndose de unos ritmos en líneas generales repetitivos e hipnoticos que se sustentan en una batería constante y unos riffs de tendencia melancólica y melódica, con el aporte de sintetizadores y sobre todo de saber arrancar a todo ello un sonido sucio no del todo pulido que es un extra de credibilidad para la propuesta. Sus gritos de desesperación y por momentos casi desgarradores acaban por helar la sangre del oyente, todo ello centrado en la mitología nórdica con un sentimiento totalmente pagano. Ni que decir tiene que la ambientación lo clava perfectamente, frialdad y oscuridad a destajo sin olvidarse de la soledad, la desesperación y el paganismo. Además sabe incorporar pasajes instrumentales muy evocadores, todo ello en un álbum que debe ser considerado como un referente dentro del género. (8,9).
