LJUSET - ENTREVISTA

Boas noites
1. Could you tell us a little as has been the process of composing this work? What issues have motivated you when composing?
Ljuset : We have a clear sectioning of every ones part of the creation process. In short, Simon writes the music and Emanuel the Lyrics. We are motivated by the life we lead, the path we walk, i.e, the feeling and passion that pulsates through the entire soul before the great mystery.
2. Tell us a little trying your song lyrics
Ljuset : There is no law telling people how to interpret our lyrics, strong feelings of sorrow and joy both occur and it's up to each and every one to interpret them as they se fit. A recurring theme is filosofic-mytologic symbolic images.
3. How were your beginnings in music? Groups and disks What are your inspiration and what would you recommend us?
Ljuset : We all started listening to rock as children. As teens obscure, dark metal caught the strongest grip on us. We completely love classical music, and depressive Swedish pop and psychedelic rock inspire us musically. Some bands and artists from cold Sweden we'd like to recommend to Spain:Broder Daniel, Fred Åkerström, Arckanum, Magna Mater and Bombus.

4. How is the scene in the city of Gothenburg? Have you any type of relationship with the bands from your city? Have inspired you in some way?
Ljuset : Unfortunately, for a long time, we did not have enough members for live performances. So we don't really know our own town in that way, yet. Now however, we've finally found a complete line-up that works, and we're very enthusiastic for up coming gigs.In general we'd like to mention that Gothenburg is a very beautiful and inspiring town, especially in the autumn evenings. There's a lot of old buildings and alleys where a ghostlike sensation of the past lingers.
5. Tell us a little type of equipment that you use in the recording sessions and live performances.
Ljuset : Simon; Fender telecaster by Squire , Burgera vintage and a lot of effect pedals. Vidar; An old Tama star classic kit from the 80’s and Zildjian Cymbals. Emanuel; Ibanez AEL8E Acoustic guitar.
6. How difficult is the coexistence within the group? Who is the leader of the now compose, or all aportáis ideas and you respect?
Ljuset : As we wrote in the first question, there's a sectioning in the work concerning the composition that emerged naturally, to everyone's satisfaction. There are no hierarchy of any sort, but up till now Ljusets core consisted of: Simon, Vidar and Emanuel.
7. How is it being received by the public of this work and not only in terms of sales but also live?
Ljuset : We've had very good response on our first EP, Chakravartin. Significantly more dynamic response on Parzifal, so far. Our other EP, Parzifal are officially released first in november, but most of the material can be found on the internet.

8. Are you locking on new material what can we expect from it?
Ljuset : We've got to much material for our own good (haha). Without saying too much, we'll offer music in the future with less limitations. For instance concerning what kind of  instruments used. We'd like to invite you to a part of our journey.
9. Being a relatively novel band, I think your sound is quite "particular", especially the duality between the guitars and vocals, how would you define your sound? Highlight about what aspect of sound?
Ljuset : Dirty, melodious pop/metal, occasionally slightly depressive with great mystery. We hope that the beauty in our music aren't always obvious, that it can be just as much hidden in the obscure parts as in the melodious.
10. Thank you very much for your time, if you want to add something for people who like Ljuet this site, thanks.
