SKELETON (2020)

Primer larga duración para los de Austin, un primer trabajo que recoge el duro esfuerzo realizado a lo largo de los últimos seis años en forma de un sonido black con claras y descaradas influencias punk y thrash. Skeleton a forjado su sonido y estilo hasta hacerlo reconocible, contando con una respetable base de fans y evolucionando desde unos comienzos mucho más cercanos al hardcore hasta saber amoldar esas influencias en una propuesta que tiene al black más underground y primitivo como seña de identidad. Este primer trabajo consta de once temas rápidos y agresivos, los riffs de todos los temas encierran un componente thrash en su seno al mismo tiempo que las influencias hardcore también afloran en algunos aspectos, sin embargo no caen en cargar sus composiciones con un tono melódico, hay momentos memorables en este apartado, pero siempre tendiendo a la crudeza para intentar no acomodarse. Batería y voces corren a cuenta de Victor Ziolkowski que ha creado un ente único, capaz de imprimir ritmo, velocidad y agresividad cuando es necesario, pero que también sabe amoldarse a las voces, en forma que estas no se vean sepultadas en el fondo de las composiciones, optando en el apartado vocal por un estilo a medias entre el thrash y el black más agresivo. Si algo hay que destacar en este trabajo es lo equilibrado del estilo, capaz de adentrarse por terrenos que rozan lo melódico, pero que pronto se ven superados por la agresividad y contundencia de un black que se adentra por el sonido más underground de los ochenta, haciendo gala de moverse con soltura en las influencias de un época en la cual el estilo aún estaba en pañales y diferentes influenicas como el speed, el thrash o el punk, jugaron un papel importante a la hora de acabar por definir el género.
