PYROGENESIS (2023)

Cuarta entrega para los austríacos Asphagor que a lo largo de su más de una hora de duración arremete con una suerte de black metal, con influencias del estilos como el death melódico. El álbum esta construido alrededor de unos impetuosos blast - beast de sonido potente y profundo, sabiendo conjugar las partes más directas, con otras más lentas que ofrecen un tono  mucho con más atmosférico. Si hablamos del sonido más directo del álbum, asistimos a una intensa descarga de riffs sustentado por una potente batería, dando como resultado un sonido que se inspira en el black de segunda ola, es aquí donde de alguna forma las estructuras, la intensidad y el tono de lo riffs acerca el sonido del álbum a terrenos de un death melódico. El conjunto logra recrear una ambientación oscura y podrida que sólo encuentra algo de luz en las secciones en las cueles la formula se relaja un tanto y las guitarras comienza a dibujar un terreno más thrash y una ambientación más accesible. En cuanto a las voces se ofrece una propuesta cruda, oscura y directa, con algunas secciones de dobles voces que logran abarca ese estilo del death melódico anteriormente mencionado. Un álbum que suene potente y directo, con pinceladas de estilos y formulas que ya han sido explotadas con anterioridad por diferentes bandas, pero que en manos de los austríacos cumplen a la hora de ofrecer un trabajo que parte de la base de un sonido black de segunda ola, que sabe incorporar un tono potente que se inspira en un black/death que muchas veces toma prestados patrones del death melódico.
