REALM OF THE NIGHT (2021)
Después de la demo de hace cuatro años, los fineses entregan su primer larga duración que contiene ocho temas de un sonido que puede ser descrito a groso modo como black metal clásico dentro de la escuela escandinava de los años noventa. Un álbum que sin destacar por su frescura si que es cierto que nos trae un completo ejercicio de black oscuro y frío, repleto de atmosferas gélidas y de perfectos riffs crudos y desoladores, muchas veces acompañados de un apartado vocal soberbio si hablamos de sonidos puramente black repletos de rugidos que saben trasmitir tanto rabia como desolación. El sonido del álbum se completa con secciones donde las melodías adquieren mayor protagonismo y juegan un papel en la búsqueda de digamos de un carácter más épico en el conjunto así como por su puesto algunas secciones más incendiarias y crudas que nos trasladan al pasado más punk del género. Riffs elaborados, acompañados por una batería perfecta en un terreno que sabe conjugar tanto las secciones más repetitivas y clásicas con otras mucho más viscerales y directas, con un gusto por saber colar algunos medios tiempos en medio de toda la propuesta. Bien es cierto que los componentes de esta banda no son unos recién llegados y por otro lado saben exprimir de forma perfecta todas la influencias clásicas para plasmarlo en un álbum sombrío y lleno de matices que sin legar a ser complejo esconde muchas supresas en el fondo de una apariencia más lineal.
