BORN IN WITCHCRAFT SPELLS (2015)

Primer larga duración para este proyecto de un solo miembro que nos llega de la islas Canarias. Dante ha cargado con todo el proceso compositivo de este "Born in Witchcraft Spells" y a logrado un álbum de black al cual hay que prestarle mucha atención para apreciar todos y cada uno de los matices que encierra. Desde el inicio podemos comprobar que no estamos ante un trabajo del montón, la ambientación ofrecida al comienzo, siniestra y ancestral, nos pone en situación de lo que vendrá después, bien es cierto que al álbum le cuesta un poco arrancar, pero cuando lo hace es brutal. Dante no se ha cortado en ofrecer riffs de guitarra de procedencia thrash con una vertiente melódica, fría y sucia. Ha sabido incorporar algunos teclados que hacen referencia claramente al black nórdico de los noventa y aportan melancolía al resultado final del álbum. Hay un par de temas que no son otros que "Born in Witchcraft Spells" y "Demonized" en donde plasma de manera precisa un black death primitivo cargado de odio y de sentimientos oscuros. "Born in Witchcraft Spells" es un álbum muy variado que en sus apenas cuarenta minutos deja constancia de una mente inquieta, cargada de innumerable influencias pero que siempre tiene muy presente el black de inicios de los años noventa y en particular a Burzum. Estamos avisados este año seguramente tendremos nueva entrega y lo mejor de todo es que esto no ha hecho más que comenzar. (8,7).
