INFERNAL EXECRATOR - INTERVIEW

1. The beginnings of Infernal Execrator must be placed in 2005, why did you decide to form the band? Why did you decide the name Infernal Execrator already referred?
Infernal hails! Before execrating INFERNAL EXECRATOR, I formed Demonic Death but dead. We have line up issues and most of them are unable to commit towards the band. I’m also a session guitarist for both Kraton (RIP) & Istidraj in 2004. I’m more to black/death metal and already composed 3 tracks and so, I decided to formed INFERNAL EXECRATOR and gave 666% full satanic force towards the legion with extreme irreligious hatred and that’s why I named it INFERNAL EXECRATOR. AGAINST ALL!

2. Despite being in other bands as Imperial Tyrants, Istidraj or Kraton, start Infernal Execrator decide what offers Infernal Execrator regarding the bands previously mentioned?
I’m only a session guitarist for all the bands you mentioned above.

3. Throughout these years, you've edited enough material: demos, EPs and splits with Infernal Execrator in different stamps, including one Spanish, but especially striking different versions and editions of these launches, at what is should all these different versions and why you do it?
There were other versions for Demo, EP and split with IMPERIAL TYRANTS which is different format. Most of our releases are strictly limited and we want to maintain the limitations of every releases we commence. And most of them are rerelease with permission. We had 3 different version / pressings with different bonus tracks and cover for our album “Ad Infinitum Satanic Adherent” and both versions CD / LP are limited to 500 copies with different bonus tracks exclusively. Reason is, the label, INFERNAL WAVES from France supposed to release the recent album and he went disappear after he got the master copy. No reply from him via email and also Jewbook and so I decided to have this album pressed on 2 difference pressing with exclusive cover & bonus tracks via EASTERN VOICE PRODUCTION from Malaysia for Asian pressing and DUNKELHEIT PRODUCTION from Germany for European pressing. Both CDs are strictly limited to 500 copies and 12” LP were released by APOCALYPTIC EMPIRE RECORDS from Norway. A BIG FUCK OFF to INFERNAL WAVES!

4. "Ad Infinitum Satanic Adherent" is your first album, how was the process of writing and recording? Why now nine years since your creation, decide to edit your first album?
We took 3 days to record all 9 tracks including mixing & mastering. Why nine years? First of all, we have other commitment beside the legion which is WORK and money. And we lack of rehearsal studios in Singapore. We are not a band to keep producing an album every year but ending up with shitty tracks and shitty recordings. We are not a band for fame or planned for thousands of albums and RIP with shit. We are very serious on both releases and live ritual we desecrated. It doesn’t matter to me if the band would takes another 3 years to dominate another album.

5. How would you describe the sound of "Satanic Adherent Ad Infinitum" How has evolved the sound of the band from your first demo "Thy Demonization Conquers" until "Ad Infinitum Satanic Adherent"?
What I can say is the album “Ad Infinitum Satanic Adherent” has a mixture of both clean and raw sound and that is what we wanted. A totally different concept and sound from our previous releases and demo. Our first release which is our demo in 2005 “Thy Demonization Conquers” have a poor sound quality and also we recorded in a budget studio.

6. From my point of view we can find your sound clear influences of bands like Marduk, Satyricon in its infancy or Impiety, for ¿which you are the main influences in the sound of Infernal Execrator?
Absolutely correct. Our main influences are IMPIETY, MARDUK, ANGELCORPSE, INFERNAL WAR, (Old) ENTHRONED and BELPHEGOR.

7. Your lyrics have a strong anti-religious component, why such direct attack on religion?
We denounce religions and its shitty laws and it is part of the legion ideology! Exterminate the weak! Death to the false!

8. Do you use the same tools to record it for a concert? Regarding concerts, which guards a better memory?
No! Every live rituals we desecrated comes with a sound engineer and that is how we communicate on our sound and etc. And all these depends with the sound system and monitors. We have experienced a shitty sound man with shitty equipment. The best ritual and most memorable is Davao, Phillipines, with 400+ crazy yet true bestial maniacs and they are real INFERNAL EXECRATOR worshipper!

9. Tell us about your distributor Demonization Distro, why did you decide to create it? What criteria do you follow when bands make material?
I’ve started Demonization Distro in 2008. Reason is many here worship Mp3 shit! And not many collect CD/LP/Cassette. I have many contacts on both bands and labels and I will either do trades or bought it from them and spread their blasphemy here with a reasonable price. This is not about business or money making. It is part of my passion and blood I’ve sworn and the Distro still prevails since 2008 up till now. You may check Demonization Disto via our Distro page:Demonization distro

10. How did you get started in music: first concerts, cds you bought, etc ... Why decide to be a musician Do you keep the same enthusiasm today than when you started?
I remembered clearly I was 11 and I bought an Asian blackmetal compilation CD featuring SURRENDER OF DIVINITY, MANTAK, DEMISER and etc, Metallica CD and King Diamond tapes from a shop named “Lavanita” which were introduced by a friend. Made a few new friends to do tape trading and trading of zines. I gained more knowledge of bands and label via the zine I read and start emailing them or by using the old technology which is either Myspace or MSN. It is so hard or slow to wait for them to reply. But with full patience, I managed to contact quite a number of old and new bands as well label. Unlike now, most are using this new technology which is Jewbook! You get to know many shitty and great bands or komrade. Not to forget RIPP OFF scums as well. I don’t rely much on Jewbook! My contacts are still contactable via emails!
My very first show that I watched together with Fauzzt, Firaun and Shyaithan from IMPIETY is at a community centre. A very small show with local acts and we enjoyed the show very much. From there, I started to learn more about guitars and started my basic practices and started to do a cover songs such as Slayer, Emperor, King Diamond and etc. Day by day, I invoked my inner soul for more extreme satanic metal bands and I managed to listen to many killer bands and also attend to local and overseas shows. The blood of pure satanic hate runs in my blood and will forever prevails!

11. Genocide Shrines, Draconis Infernum, Rudra, Vallendusk, bands all geographically close to you, how is the extreme scene in Southeast Asia? Particularly in Singapore, which bands we recommend?
I know Genocide Shrine & Chathuranga as well Chris from Draconis Infernum as we are in contact. Great bands! For Rudra and Vallendusk, I only knew the band name and have listened to their music but I don’t know them personally! Nothing much going on with Singapore scene. Full of political shits and polluted with scumbag and poseur rats! Only few bands are still active and a real hordes that deserve an eternal support! These are the band that are recommended! IMPIETY, IMPERIAL TYRANTS, BATTLESTORM, PURBAWISESA, TANTRA, ISTIDRAJ, NOCTURNIZED & DAMNED ETERNAL!

12. "Ad Infinitum Satanic Adherent" was edited in principle by the seal tape format Eastern Voice Production, although few months later was reissued by the German label Dunkelheit Produktionen how the possibility of working with Dunkelheit Produktionen arise?
“Ad Infinitum Satanic Adherent” Asian pressing tape & CD was only released by Eastern voice productions from Malaysia. The Asian pressing tape are limited to 150 copies and are already sold out! Warhemic Production from USA, released it on 3 different coloured shell which are RED, BLACK and YELLOW GOLD tape shell with a limited embroidered Infernal Execrator logo patch. Only few copies left via the label. Dunkelheit production only released our CD format and 1st 100 comes with and A3 Heavy poster. Before commencing our Asian pressing CD / tape via Eastern Voice Production, I contacted Baal from Dunkelheit Production, and so we made the deal with a different cover art and a different bonus track! We are very satisfied!

13. Tape, CD and vinyl, all three formats in which we can find edited your material, what for you is the best what?
All Tape, CD & vinyl format are the best! All comes with different artwork, different bonus track and for the vinyl, there’s a hidden track.

14. What future plans do you have for the band in terms of upcoming releases, concerts, etc ..?
The legion are planning on a European tour in 2016 and we will announced the dates once everything has been 666% confirmed! For releases, our 2005 demo “Thy Demonization Conquer” will be released on a 7” format, pro CD and also limited pro tape and these will be released under Witchery Records. At the same time, our upcoming blasphemies will be our 2 new tracks on 7” limited to 150 copies will be released via Gempita records. In 2016, we will have 2 splits and 1 Ep. More news with unholy attack soon!

15. Thank you very much for taking the time to Black Metal Spirit, if you want to add something for the followers of Infernal Execrator this is the place. I hope the questions are to your liking.

THE DYING OF THE LIGHT (2015)

KINGDOM VENOM I (2014)
THE CARNAGE OF GODHRA (2015)

1. The Carnage of Godhra 05:56

2. Ab Ki Baar, It all goes back to Ayodhya, a holy land claimed so,
Wretched human religious beliefs, seeds of hate they sow.

The train it chugs along the rail she goes,
Somewhere along the way an evil it did grow.

The returning pilgrims with a religious blindfold,
Then came the attack for reasons unknown.

Godhra it was named, humanity shamed,
There is no fire without a spark.

Trapped. Stoned. Burnt Alive.
Were they Hindu, Muslim or Humans in the fire?

What reason could there be to spark such horrific ire ?
The tales are a plenty, who speaks the truth? Who is the liar?
The provocation was there and the reaction was strong
And this you believe is a service to your god?

Do you realize it begins at the divide?
Do you realize you are blinded by lies?
Take away your religion and see what you find.
Take away your god and do you still see eye for an eye?

How can you sleep with the blood that you’ve seen?
Live each day, is there no guilt you feel?
Do visions of those charred bodies not haunt your sleep?
How can you still justify your religious beliefs?

The truth is still buried and justice is not served
Conspiracies are a plenty, 59 people burned,
So many different stories, which one is the word?
Who was the real demon leading the violent herd?

This was just the beginning
Of a genocide that was brewing
The swords they were sharpening
For the mass revenge killing

In the name of a god.
Your best imaginary friend
In the name of a god.
It’s just good business in the end. 06:51
A mountain of bodies, in four trucks disposed
In an empty well, dozens more found a home.
Women and children, no one was spared.
Even the police, did not seem to care.

We begged the gun-toting police,
Sir, let our innocent children go
He questioned their innocence and said
Aaj marna hai tum ko!

They surrounded us and doused us with petrol and kerosene
They burned us alive; I screamed I cried, at the bottom of the human pile, still alive
Six of my family, none have survived, my baby boys I watched them die
The government can give us money but will it really suffice?
Cash cannot replace justice, how do you put a price on their lives?

The women who tried to escape, they were molested
Their mouths were clamped, their clothes were torn
Kausar she stood beside me, with a child, unborn
Her womb was slit open, the foetus impaled on a sword.

At the graveyard he sits, counting the dead bodies
Not a sight for human eyes, hamari bhi himat tuti

Wherever there was an attack, women were raped
Their bodies still scarred, each mark tells the tale.
Another family of seven, hid in a field for two days
Found by the mob who stole their money and killed them anyway.

Jafri was dragged into the street and forced to parade naked
Refusing to say "Jai Shri Ram" they beheaded and burnt his remains

Think of the hate they create
Of all the lies they spread
Hindu or Muslim, it doesn’t matter
Religion should be dead.

Motherfucking religious leaders
Brainwashing the gullible fools
Creating an army of religious warriors
To fight a war that can bear no fruit.

3. Gaurav Yatra (The Aftermath) 06:52
Seven Ninety Muslims and Two Fifty Four Hindus died
The religion doesn’t matter that is over a 1000 human lives
The fires died down and the smoke did clear
A blood stained ground, people living in fear

Widespread destruction, a system that failed
So many arrested, murderers let out on bail
Homeless, penniless, wandering in pain,
Still waiting for justice and relief that never came.

We are still missing answers, to what started the fire
What was the incident to spark the ire?
What was the reason? Have people conspired?
Is this all part of some political game?
They say in a game of Chess, the pawns die first.
Does the butchering of innocent really quench the blood thirst?
If you both had the same god, who would draw their blade first?

In the wake of this tragedy some prominent leaders did speak
Their speeches filled with hate, more evil they did breed
Bal Thackeray spewed venom and so did the VHP
Evil did show many shames, behold the Indian Mujahedeen

Violence will only breed more violence
When will the killing of the innocent stop
We must educated the youth of our nation
Empower them to not be brainwashed, by religion.

Can you imagine watching your family killed before your own eyes?
Do you think you will ever sleep peacefully after watching such horrific crimes?
How can anyone even live a normal life after hearing those helpless cries?
Will you still find a reason to live after everyone you love has died?
Even though 10 years have passed, the ghosts still haunt my life
There has been no justice, no relief, a nightmare with no respite.

BETWEEN MAN, GOD AND FALSE IDOLS (2015)
SLOTH HERDER - INTERVIEW

1 Sloth Herder was founded in 2009 , why did you decide to form the band ? How were the early Herder Sloth ?
We formed with a desire to write aggressive, fucked up songs. In the early days it started with just drums and guitar, then we added vocals and played as a 3 piece until we were able to convince Luke (our bassist) to join. Our approach hasn't changed much since.

2 Your music combines different styles , doom , sludge , hardcore , grind and black , how do you define the style of the band?
The style or genre is best for the people who listen to us to decide. It's difficult these days as most bands crossover many styles of extreme music, it makes labeling obsolete. Frankly we think it's a good thing not to be cornered into one genre, letting you freely experiment with all styles in the best interest of the song. We have referred to ourselves as a Power Slob band.

3 Capture all the energy released an album in your music I guess should not be easy , how is your way to work in the studio for composing the songs ?
All of our material is written, dissected, and then reassembled  in the writing process. And always during our rehearsals. Songs won't be considered for a release until we're happy with the result. This way when we go into the studio we know every part inside and out.

4 So far you've released two EP but soon also editareis a split with Horde of the Eclipse , with respect to these two Eps , how was the process of writing and recording ? Pleased with the impact that you have achieved them?
Our writing process almost always starts with us exchanging riffs or sections of songs we've written. Then we add drums so that we have a skeleton of a song, over time we will flesh out parts and transitions to make sure everything fits and has that sloth herder charm and then bass and vocals are incorporated usually throughout this process. Once everyone is happy, and we all have to be happy, the song is finished. As for recording, Sluggard was recorded live in single takes and we did vocals separately. Abandon pop sensibility was approached differently as we tracked each instrument separately. Both ep's got a fair amount of attention and we were very pleased with peoples reactions. Especially in regard to Abandon Pop Sensibility.

5 I guess your musical influences are varied , what groups have inspiredyou to compose your music?
That varies a lot between the 4 of us. Definitely a lot of hardcore and grunge and obviously black metal and grind of course. everything from sonic youth and the cure to deathspell omega and blut aus nord. However Assuck was probably the main influence for founding the band.

6 Speaking a little of your impending split release with Horde of the Eclipse , how to realize the possibility arose? Are there substantial variations with respect to what has been offering Sloth Herder , in his earlier works ?
We have played a number of shows with Horde of the Eclipse and we wanted to do a split with them mainly because we think they kick ass but also because we have very different styles but a mutual admiration for each other. I think everyone will be pleased.

7 I imagine your attending a concert should be an experience , does a concert for you involves an obligation or something that you feel comfortable?
Playing live is very important for us as a band. We feel any material that we write and release we should also be able replicate in the live setting. The first real shows took place in Spring 2010 as a 2 piece, vocals were added that summer and then bass was added to the live lineup in late 2011. Every now and then due to extenuating circumstances, we have periods of time where live shows take a backseat. However, once we return, we always make a strong comeback regardless of the situation. We would love do to some small tours in the future and continue bringing our music to unseen fringes of the underground

8 U.S. extreme scene is in good health and have recently appeared many bands that have managed to combine the sound of black with other such as the sludge , the grind or hardcore , do you you feel part of this scene , how is live from the inside the emergence of new bands?
Yes and no. Yes we are part of the very much alive American underground scene, but it's hard to feel at home in something so vast and often cliquey. Seeing the scene flourish is always good. It brings more opportunity for all bands and loads of cool shows. At the same time it can be frustrating trying to establish your band.

9 How were your beginnings in music , first concert , your first records you bought you ? Why you decided to become musicians ?
All of us have had life long affairs with music, we've all been playing music and instruments since we were little kids. So it just sort of happened that we became musicians, I don't know there was ever a conscious decision. We grew up in family's with parents or siblings that played, so it's something we were all exposed to our entire lives.

10 Abandon the cover of Pop Sensibility , who 's design ? Relate how your music with the cover?
The album cover is a picture taken from our bassist Luke's childhood home in Jefferson, MD.  It has this bleak, hopeless yet eerily calm atmosphere to it. That was our goal. We wanted a departure from the typical metal imagery, and we felt it was a more accurate representation than your typical satanic imagery associated with the style.

11 What is the main theme of your lyrics and that inspires you when writing ?
Overall themes are alienation, struggle, and collaboration. These three things can be connected while appearing to be polarized. Personal growth is important to this band, and is usually achieved through experiencing these three things. From there we touch on all
sorts of subjects. Anything else and it wouldn't fit with our musical output. As far as inspiration goes, its pretty much everywhere. Our ownactions and of those around us, whether experiencing it first or second hand. While its easy to draw inspiration from something negative and picture perfect for a grim story like war and degradation which we have done and will do in the future, you need to see the forest for the trees.

12 Your two self-released EPs have been to for you and your esta'n available on bandcamp, is there any label interested in releasing your material ?
There has been some interest. We will be working with a label for our next release. We released the split with Horde of the Eclipse through Unholy Anarchy Records, but we plan on trying to remain free agents. Working with labels and also self releasing material.

13 A prominent part of the edition of your split with Horde of Eclipse, I have Quee future plans for the band?
We are currently writing a full length album and are working with a local label. We plan to begin recording soon and are hoping for an early 2016 release. No big plans for shows or tours in the near future, but we will be playing one off shows regularly. We also just re-recorded 4 old songs from an early, unreleased demo that you can download for free on our bandcamp.

14 Thank you very much for taking the time to Black Metal Spirit , if you want to add something for the followers of Sloth Heder, this is the place . I hope the questions are to your liking .
Thank you for the opportunity, Fran. We will continue to churn out the ugliest music we can for those who want to hear it. You can follow us on Facebook, Instagram and Bandcamp.

KIRKEBRANN - INTERVIEW

Draug: Es jodido Punk Black Metal.

V.O. IN ENGLISH

1- The band was created in 2008 when a more or less stable formation is achieved but what really origins are in 2004 with sole member Draug. What happened during these four years for the project was stopped in 2008 and happened to once and for all officially create Kirkebrann?
Draug: Well, it started with a few songs and the band name only, and it remained that way for a year or two he he. It was when i hooked up with our old drummer things started to envolve. I wrote songs that we arranged and pre recorded them in my old basement and i guess it was about almost 40 songs in a year. It was when my friend wanted us to play at his festival, and i started to look for band members. With all members in place and a rehersal room we started rehersaling and got ready for our first gig at the Hammerslag festival. We had some line up changes since then but i think we are a stable band now.

2- The name Kikebrann refers to the burning of churches, whether in the past due to human error or more recently with movements that have to do with black metal, why did you decide this name and is there any connotation behind it?
Draug: Yes, its a name that will get noticed and of course lots of people hate it, some laugh about it but everybody will think of Black Metal when they hear a band name like that. I guess that's why i picked the name and because i think a burning church is a beutifull sight, a pice of art i guess he he. We see the burning church not only as a symbol of anti christianity but a symbol of anti religion and that's what we are all about.

3- If I'm not mistaken you can count on some tests to make your own recordings, done that allows you to not be overwhelmed with the time and money involved in having to rent some. "Når dør alt", your last album to date and there was conceived, how is your way of composing and recording?
Draug: The Når alt dør album was mostly songs i have composed that we arraged together at rehearsal, and with our own studio we have time to let our creativity work in our recording session. In the next album, more of us are writing and we still arrange them in rehearshal. We still have our own studio so we dont have to rush during recording. It's good then we can do a bit changes and spice things up without booking studio time and paying lot of money he he.

4- In short'll edit your new album, what can you forward about it?
Draug: We should have been starting recording but we dont rush it. It will be 12 songs; most of them are finished arraged now so we soon start recording drums. It will be a bit different than the last album but still the Kirkebrann sound.

5- Could we talk of Gorgoroth as one of your main musical influences?
Draug: I guess so. The first 3 Gorgoroth albums are fantastic and i guess I get a bit influenced by them. Also early Darkthrone albums are fucking great.

6- Your letters concern the Norwegian story, continue to keep this issue on the new album? What consider relevant elements of the history of your country to address them in your lyrics?
Draug: No, no history in this next album. It will be all anti religion and hatred at the arrogance of humans. Most lyrics on this album are written by me and Skroemt so i guess we share the same view of life he he. All lyrics will be in norwegian this time and maybe a bit more personal.

7- Your sound has a lot of influence of black-nineties, but your songs are extremely straightforward and short, at what should i miss this ?
Draug: It's Punk fucking Black Metal. It's straightforward and pretty short songs, but that's the way i write. We dont need like endless songs with riffs going on forever... that's not our style. This is our kind of Black Metal, so we think "if you dont like it, fuck off!!"

8- When a concert of Kirkbrann, what differences are there in your main computer and instruments with respect to which you use in the rehearsal?
Draug: We record with the same backline we use to record with. No trigger and shit like that, just putting microphones on our backline and record. Well, we don't do live recording, we record one instrument at the time but still the same backline. A concert you will get a different sound anyway because every room has a different sound, there will be different soundtechs and we dont always play with our own backline.

9- You proceed to the Østlandet region, south of Norway, specifically the city of Vestfold, how extreme scene in your town?
Draug: Vestfold is not a city he he. Its an area with citys like Tønsberg, Sandefjord, Larvik and Horten. Members of Kirkebrann are spreaded around in those cities. Not much happening in the extreme scene as far as i know, but there are a few bands i know like Svikt, Svidd and Concrete, and maybe a few more. There were more bands here before but i guess there are less “recruits” to the metal scene than before he he. We dont have our extreme metal festival (Hammerslag festival) anymore and not many metal places at all. I guess you have to go to Oslo for that shit he he.

10- How did you get started in music, first bands and concerts? Why did you decide to become a musician?
Draug: I guess i started with the classic 70s rock bands. Im still fan of it and remember my first concert in 97, I guess with Black Sabbath. It was awesome, still love that band. I started playing bass when i was 9 or 10 but i quit and didnt start playing again before i was in my early 20s but then guitar he he. I like playing the guitar but always end up writing songs instead of practicing. I guess thats why i wanted to start a Black Metal band to get my music out.

11- Where it has been recorded and mixed the new album? Will Blackcrowned Records seized of the issue and distribution? Will it be published in a special format such as vinyl? Do you have already prepared a presentation concert?
Draug: No plans of presentation concert yet, we must first see when it will get released he he. We will record in our own studio as our last album and maybe mixed in the same studio as last. Blackcrowned dont exist as far as i know and we were not to happy with it either. We have been talking to a label but nothing is decided yet. Yes, i hope to release the next album in vinyl and cd, we will also work next year to release the Når alt dør album on vinyl as well. We will finish recording and mix this year and release it late this year or early next one i guess.

12- Thank you very much for taking the time to Black Metal Spirit, if you want to add something for the followers of Kirkebrann, this is the place. I hope the questions are to your liking.
Draug: The one who hates is awake!
